Enabling Real-Time Progress Monitoring through Integration of “Rebro” BIM Data

SpiderPlus&Co. (the Company) has developed and launched a new function, “Rebro integration for member coloring confirmation” (this function), for “S+BIM,” an optional function of the construction DX service “SPIDER+” provided by the Company.

1. Benefits of new features

(1) Real-time viewing of updates added to BIM data on-site using “Rebro Viewer”

The component coloring function of “S+BIM” can be utilized for construction planning and progress logs. Furthermore, it enables supervisors and managers who are not stationed at the site, such as designers, to check the site status in real-time using the free “Rebro Viewer”.

(2) Contributes to the optimization of information sharing, which determines construction progress

Coordination among diverse stakeholders occurs daily at construction sites, where smooth information sharing significantly impacts the efficiency of construction progress.
This function allows supervisors and managers not stationed at the site, such as designers, to check site information in real-time on “Rebro”.
This enables rapid prioritization of situations and incidents, contributing to the streamlining of construction management.

2. Background of New Feature Development

In line with the trial operation of “S+BIM” started by Shimizu Corporation (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Tatsuya Niimura; hereinafter “Shimizu Corporation”) in August 2023, we have sequentially launched features such as “2D drawing integration,” “minimap function,” and “offline function” based on requests from the site and office staff.

However, tools were divided, with “SPIDER+” and “S+BIM” used at the site, and “Rebro” used at the head office and branch offices, making the efficiency of information sharing a challenge.

Since BIM allows diverse data such as attribute information to be added to 3D models, the integration of “Rebr”o and “S+BIM” achieves advanced construction progress management and strengthens the information infrastructure between the site and the head office/branch offices.

Note that the standardization of business processes and the accumulation of structured data are initiatives based on Shimizu Corporation’s Medium-term DX Strategy (2024–2026).

These movements and the development and renewal of the new platform “SPIDER+ Workspace,” announced by the Company in July 2025, share the common goal of resolving site issues and reforming production processes. As part of this effort, the development of this function will contribute to streamlining operations for construction stakeholders and reforming production processes.
